Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the use of perfumetrading.co.uk (the “Site”) and all wholesale purchases from Perfume Trading Limited (“Perfume Trading”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing our Site and/or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and all policies referenced (including our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy). 

Note: These Terms are intended primarily for business/wholesale customers (B2B).

1) Company details

2) Definitions

Customer / you: the business buyer placing an order.

  • Goods: products sold on the Site (perfumes, oils, mists, gift sets, etc.).
  • Order: a request to purchase Goods.
  • Working day: Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.

3) Eligibility and accounts (wholesale)

You confirm that you are acting for business purposes and have authority to bind the business.

We may require wholesale verification and may accept or refuse account requests at our discretion. 

You must keep your account and purchase details accurate and up to date. 

4) Minimum order value

A minimum order value (MOV) of £200 applies to wholesale orders unless we agree otherwise in writing.

5) Pricing, VAT, and product information

  • Prices and availability can change without notice. 
  • VAT (if applicable) will be shown/charged according to the delivery address and the details you provide.
  • Product images and colours may vary by device/display. 
  • We may limit quantities and/or restrict sales by location or other factors. 

6) Orders and contract formation

  • Submitting an Order is an offer to purchase.
  • The contract is formed only when we accept the Order (typically when we confirm dispatch, or otherwise confirm acceptance).
  • We may refuse, limit, or cancel Orders (including due to stock, pricing errors, suspected fraud, or eligibility concerns). 

7) Payments

  • We accept payment methods shown at checkout. 
  • Payments are processed securely via our payment providers (including Global Payments). We do not store full card details on our servers.
  • If a payment is reversed/chargeback occurs, you remain liable for the Order amount and any reasonable recovery costs.

8) Shipping, delivery, and risk

Our Shipping Policy forms part of these Terms. 

  • Processing: typically 1–2 working days. 
  • Transit (after dispatch): typically 3–5 working days (estimates only). 
  • Couriers: We ship using DPD and Royal Mail (and may use alternative couriers where needed).
  • Tracking is provided after dispatch (where available). 
  • Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed (carrier delays, weather, peak season, etc.). 

Risk in the Goods transfers to you on delivery to the address provided.

9) Title (ownership)

Ownership/title to the Goods passes to you only when we receive cleared payment in full.

10) Inspection, damages, shortages, and incorrect items

You must inspect Goods promptly on receipt.

  • If items arrive damaged/defective, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photo/video evidence and packaging images, as required in our Refund Policy. 
  • Claims made after the stated window may be rejected. 

11) Returns, refunds, and cancellations

Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms. 

Key points (summary only—policy wording applies):

  • Return period: within 3 days of receipt. 
  • Items must be unused, unopened, in original packaging, and resalable. 
  • Returns require prior authorisation—items returned without approval are not accepted. 
  • Change-of-mind return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility; we cover return shipping for damaged/defective/incorrect items (subject to policy conditions). 
  • Cancellations are allowed before the order is sent for picking/packing; once dispatched, the normal returns process applies. 

12) Wholesale resale and marketplace rules

Unless agreed in writing:

  • You must not represent yourself as Perfume Trading Limited or imply you are our agent.
  • You must not remove batch codes/labels or tamper with packaging.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws for resale, labelling, product safety, and consumer information in your sales territory.

13) Authenticity

We aim to supply authentic products sourced through trusted channels (see our FAQ statements). 

However, you remain responsible for your own compliance checks required for resale in your market.

14) Acceptable use of the Site

You must not:

  • misuse the Site, introduce viruses/malicious code, scrape content, attempt unauthorised access, or use the Site for unlawful purposes. 
  • We may suspend or terminate access for breaches. 

15) Intellectual property

All Site content (logos, text, graphics, product photography, etc.) is owned by or licensed to us and may not be copied or used without permission.

16) Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law.

Subject to the above:

  • The Site and services are provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. 
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g., loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill), to the extent permitted by law. 
  • Our total liability relating to an Order will not exceed the amount paid for that Order, to the extent permitted by law.

17) Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control (carrier disruption, strikes, shortages, extreme weather, etc.).

18) Privacy

Personal data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. 

19) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms. 

20) Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction (unless mandatory local laws apply).
